On vacation this year we flew to Colorado! We stayed in a hotel called Peak To Peak in Estes Park, Colorado:
The next morning we went to Rocky Mountain National Park.
We gathered our gear and found hiking sticks:
We set out on a 5 mile hike!
There was a fast flowing river, The Big Thompson River, along much of the trail:
We crossed a bridge Over the River: We climbed 745 feet to an elevation of 8800 feet to this waterfall:
At the end of the hike the girls were a little tired:
But we decided to stop at the Junior Ranger station. We learned about the native land and wildlife and got our Junior Ranger books so we can work on getting our Jr. Ranger badges! When we got back to the hotel we went right to the pool and hot tub
to end a great day! |
