Summertime Fun

In addition to our amazing family vacation we had a lot of fun this summer.
Of course we went swimming:

 Splash park fun:

Natural History Museum with friends:

Daddy built a shed in our backyard and we decided to have a backyard sleepout in the new shed.
It was July 3rd and people were setting off fireworks making it impossible to sleep.
We came back inside but still had fun while it lasted.

Happy Fourth Of July from Shadow our cat!

We had a 4th of July picnic at our church.  First we rode in the bike parade:
Rachel was excited to try out the Pie Eating Contest:
She seriously almost won!
Competition was fierce in the sack races as well:
Time for face painting:
Later that day we went to a small town festival and fireworks display.  There were lots of fun things to enjoy before the fireworks:

Patriotic Faces:

This was the girls first real Fireworks display. We enjoyed a few sparklers while we waited for the show:

Family Selfie:
We really enjoyed the Fireworks and will definitely be coming back next year!

More Summer Fun!
Kids Zumba Classes:
Fun times at the library. Elizabeth was picked to participate in a science experiment:

 Movie Time:
We had friends over for a 3D movie and popcorn:
More fun at the museum:
 Butterfly museum with friends:

Digging for dinosaur bones at the museum:
Oh no a dinosaur!

After the museum mommy took us out for ginormous ice-cream cones:

While visiting our local zoo with mommy Rachel was our guide since daddy was at work:
One week before school started Rachel lost her first tooth!
She got a shiny quarter with a smiley face sticker from the Tooth Fairy!!
