"Signing Time"

Before Elizabeth was even born I decided to be proactive
in terms of communication. In my research on child
rearing I learned that many children can learn and
use sign language to communicate well before they can
even speak words. I read that temper tantrums and other
undesirable behaviors were often greatly reduced as a
result of the child being able to communicate their needs.
So, I gave it a shot.

The result: Elizabeth Loves It! She has learned many
signs and uses them daily. I enjoy it too. I have learned
the signs too and I enjoy sharing in the learning
experience with Elizabeth.

As for fewer temper tantrums, well, not really.
However, she enjoys the videos so much (especially
the "Signing Time" series) that it calms her down
and often makes her happy.
