Off to Moab, Utah
Our first stop was Price Canyon Recreation Area. We drove up a 3 mile mountain climb to a picnic area and enjoyed a nice lunch. Just outside of Moab we stopped at Monitor and Merrimac Buttes viewpoint on the way into Dead Horse Point State Park:

The next day we went to Arches National Park. First stop, The Windows:
Sand Arch was one of our favorites. There were lots of fun rocks to climb:

And of Course an Arch:
Daddy climbed on top of the Arch:
The next day we went to Canyonlands National Park. Our first hike took us to Mesa Arch. We got to play in the sand:
Next we hiked to Whale Rock:

Next we went to one of mommy's favorite hikes:
Upheaval Dome:
Later that afternoon we went to a super-awesome park:
On one side of the park there were a dozen or so musical instruments to play:
We tried boysen berries for the first time. Yum!:
The next day we went back to Arches:
And hiked to Delicate Arch. Well one of us crawled:
We stayed on the path:
And we made it!:

This time we went down into the canyon. Daddy helped us down:
We had fun exploring with mommy:
Our next stop was the Grand View Point Overlook:

Then we went on another hike on the Aztec Butte Trail:

We found some old Native American grainaries:
Our final stop of the day was back to the visitors center where Elizabeth became an official Jr. Ranger:

Rachel is studying her book for our next visit:

The next morning we went back to Salt Lake City and stayed with our friends the Lortons. We had lots of fun.
We made rice crispy treats together:
