The First Grade Play
In Celebrating the 100th day of school the first grade put on a fun presentation!
Elizabeth got to wear a yellow cowgirl hat.
She danced and sang "The Barn Yard Boogie" with her class.
They all did a great job and we all had fun!
More Family Fun
January 20th, 2014
For the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday we brainstormed some ideas for what we could do for the day and Elizabeth said fishing! I seconded it and we headed out on a most beautiful day for a fun family (fresh water) fishing day. We drove about 35 minutes away (Hawthorne - Lake Lochlosa and Marjorie Kinan Rawlins State Park). We actually drove to quite a few spots and tried our luck (next time we need to bring a lucky penny and a four leaf clover).
We saw a tall feathery friend at the bait shop.
After a short drive . . looking for a clear spot to fish.
Another short drive and our lines were in the water!
Let the fun begin!
Go Mommy!
Off to try our luck at another spot a short drive away. "Nope, no place to drop a line here either".
We scoped out one more spot on our way home that we plan to try out the next fishing trip.
It really was a beautiful day and we all had a great family fun time!
