Family Vacation 2016 - Day 4/5/6 - Beck Mountain

Family Vacation Day Four, Five, and Six

We spent Day Four with one of Daddy's brother's and went to church.  After church, all of his family headed to "the mountain".

When Daddy was young his family went to a "secret mountain" where they found lots of non-precious gem stones like agate, opal, and amethyst.

Daddy is the oldest of eight children and since many of them were in Utah for the family reunion several of our Aunts, Uncles and cousins decided it would be great fun to go camping and hiking at the mountain.

We traveled a few hours to get to the campsite:

Lizzy was happy to be camping.

We were excited to be roasting marshmallows!

We had several campsites:

Uncle Demar and Aunt Nicky had the tallest tent!

Aunt Alenae and Jessie had the smallest tent.

Mommy brought her hammock and took a moment to relax after helping daddy set up our campsite.

Elizabeth built a hatchet!:

The next morning we made our way up the mountain and came down with these:
We found a lot of smaller pieces as well.  But we could only bring down what we could carry while hiking.

The next day most of our Aunts, Uncles and Cousins left but Aunt Alenae and our cousin Jessie stayed for one more hike.
We decided to take a different trail today
We had lots of fun climbing:
Looking at the mountains along the trail:
We took a few breaks along the way:
We went off trail and found a waterfall:
We had a lot of fun crossing the stream:
Climbing on rocks:

Aunt Alenae and Jessie were ready to head back to camp to pack up and head home but we kept on hiking and we found . . .

SNOW!

Snowball Fights!

We had A Lot of Fun in the snow.
