Family Vacation 2017

Day Six

Tuesday, July 11th, 2017
Dukes Creek Falls, Helen, Georgia

We found the Dukes Creek Falls Trail Head:
The Dukes Creek trail is a moderate 2 mile out hike alongside Davis Creek and Dukes Creek. We enjoyed several waterfalls along the trail. We quickly arrived at the first waterfall:
We soon found two more side by side waterfalls:

Off to find another waterfall:
We arrived!:
Rachel explored a little to close to the mud:

After our 4 mile hike we decide to go visit Helen Georgia, a Bavarian Alps replica town with plenty of shops and tourist stops:

Our first stop was "Charlemagne's Kingdom" a model railroad exhibition.

This exhibit portrays a miniature Germany from the North Sea to the Alps. Displays include everything from fishing boats and hot air balloons:

To a circus:

A mountain waterfall and with a bungee jumper:

A view from upstairs:

Luna was able to join us in the exhibit.

Dress Like A Cow Day!
Whether we are home in Florida or away on vacation we can participate in this special day.

We had fun making or costumes (which were made at home before we left for vacation):

And all of us dressing up like cows (yup, Dad too!):

Free food at Chic-Fil-A is a strong motivating factor:
