Day Twelve

Monday, July 17th, 2017

DeSoto Falls, Cleveland, GA

We drove to the DeSoto Falls Recreation Area: Found the trail head:

The trail made it's way through the park and we came to the "Scenic Area":

Followed by a trail marker for the Lower and Upper Falls:

We headed to the Lower Falls first:

There was another smaller waterfall there too:

Then we headed to the Upper Falls:

Lizzy relaxed with dad:

And then Rachel cuddled with Mom:

After this hike we drove to Blairsville, GA and found the trail head for Helton Creek Falls:

A short hike led us to the falls:

We climbed along the side:

Enjoyed the splash!

Then we made are way up the trail to the next waterfall:

We relaxed:

Mom and Dad enjoyed a little rest time together:

We explored:

Time to head back down the trail. Along the way we discovered a hollowed out tree stump:

We also enjoyed the distant view of the lower waterfall:

We headed back to Vogal State park, took a break at the campsite, then headed to the trail inside the park that leads to yet another waterfall.

We found the Trahlyta Lake trail head:

This trail is a fitness trail with fitness related activities posted on signs along the way.

We came to the trail for the waterfall:

We saw the top of the waterfall:

And made our way down to this beautiful view:

We headed back to the fitness trail

And enjoyed the views around the lake:
