An Additon To Our Home

October 2018 - June 2019
Back in October we decided to remove the back porch and add an addition to our home. Mom wanted a home gym and a mudroom. While exploring our options we decided to also add a walk-in closet and expand the master bathroom with a skylight. Dad Kevin and Harry got to work:

Time to lay the concrete. We hired out for this part of the job:


We had a watch party with our friend Cole:


It took all day but it looked so nice:

We made a lot of progress over the next several weeks!






By the middle of November and into December we had made a lot of progress!

After Christmas we made even more progress!


We cleaned up everything inside at this point and mom had her 49th Birthday Celebration in the addition!

We hired a company to spray foam insulate the addition and the attic:

We installed the drywall and then hired out for the plaster:

We also started painting the exterior of the main house:

The floors are house stall mats (they are very heavy and durable; great for a gym!).

We are so happy with our new addition! We are grateful for Kevin and Harry for all their amazing work. We are also grateful for Franklin who helped with some painting and he even helped raise some of the walls. Mom is especially grateful for Dad who gave Mom this awesome space!
