Happy Halloween
This year we carved just one pumpkin:

We decided on a cat because of the new kittens in the neighborhood:

(Sadly we were down to just two kittens now as we have not seen the third one in several days).
On Wednesday (Oct. 30th) evening we had our trunk-n-treat at the church.
Rachel decided to be a fawn this year:

Lizzy chose a character named Katniss from book (and movie) series, The Hunger Games:

They acted out their roles:

Katniss was compassionate and let the fawn go free:

We put a lot of thought and work into our trunk for the Trunk-N-Treat and decided on a theme based on a Book of Mormon account (1Nehi 8) of the prophet Lehi's vision of the tree of life. Mom was dressed and ready to play her role in making the story of the tree of life come to life:

Time to go set up our trunk at the church:

We had the iron rod and the straight and narrow path leading to the tree of life.

An mom was ready to entice people to come to the great and spacious building and travel off the path leading to the tree of life. We had disco lights and dance music playing from within the great building. Mom rarely got out of character throughout the entire night:

"Come...come to the great and spacious building...come!"
The next day was Halloween so we got our costumes on again:

Luna wanted to go too!

Sorry Luna, you can't go with us this time...but we like your costume!
Patricia decided to go with us trick-or-treating. We didn't get a picture of her costume. She had a large fake gash on her neck with plenty of fake blood on her neck and down her white shirt. All three costumes (although not planned that way at all) fit into the Hunger Games theme so we went with this story: Katniss shot the arrow toward the deer (for food to survive) but the arrow hit Patricia in the neck.
Our last stop of the night was in our own neighborhood. It was a walk through outdoor scary path with live "actors" jump scaring.
We got a lot of candy this year and had fun (although it was really a chilly night).
