Week Two Day Two Trail Adventure: Split Rock Trail
(Not one person on this trail while we were there. Social distancing ✅).
Our first time visiting this trail.
This is supposed to be a loop trail. After a bit of decision making we decided to go this way.
The sign said "Caution alligator may be present on trail." Lizzy exclaimed "ON the trail!?"
Pretty wild flowers.
Looks like 💚Holly❤️ to me (although a friend said it isn't and is not native to the area).
At home our Florida lawn is mostly sand with scattered weeds. The grass here was super soft, a definite must feel!
This trail faded out (second time this happened to us on this trail) so we once again had to turn around. We were still enjoying the journey.
Time for a rest break.

The buzzards were circling overhead...we picked up the pace a bit.
We finally found the "Split Rock" (the trail's name-sake).
