Time to carve Jack-O-Lanterns.
First we have to clean out the pumpkins:

But we each came up with our own designs:

We decided on our Halloween costumes.

We had a lot of fun plans this Halloween starting with a Halloween party Friday night at the YMCA. It was date night so we had our friends with us while their parents went on a date:

There were some activities and treats to enjoy:


Rachel won a prize for 3rd best costume in her age group:

Her showmanship of bowing to the audience when her costume was up for judging tipped the scales in her favor.
Saturday was Trunk-N-Treat at the Fall Festival at church.
We made a new friend at a neighborhood party who lives just around the corner from us. She was excited to come with us to the Fall Festival. She did not have a costume so we made her up to be just like Rachel. We had a lot of friends there with us:

Mom and dad finished setting up their trunks for the trunk-n-treat.

There is a contest for the top three trunks so we went all out this year with the World's Smallest Petting Zoo:

Carrot was the lucky animal:
We also had a video screen behind the curtain in the back of the van with trivia questions.

Halloween Night
Each Halloween our grocery store does trick-or-treating inside the store. So we do our weekly shopping and get candy along the way. We got back into our costumes and headed to Publix:

Inside we had fun getting special treats:


Time to get back home to get ready to go trick or treating. Some friends came along with us:


We had a very Happy Halloween!
