Week Eight Day Two Trail Adventure: Palm Point Nature Park at Newnan's Lake:
We came here a few years ago but I thought it would be nice to come back (the girls just barely remember coming here before):

One striking a pose, the other two, not so much:

Newnan's Lake:

I spy two somethings. Do you?:

Here's a close up of one:

Keeping her distance!

I see why this is called Palm Point:

There is a very short trail around the area:

Interesting plants along the way:

Back at the lake front and there is another 🐊 right in front of us in the water:

Anyone know what kind of snake this skin came off of?:

It was an absolutely beautiful day! We saw about 8-9 alligators:

Found: lost troll doll!

It's waiting right here for you if you lost it:

Do you see the three alligators lined up in a row?:

Opposite reactions to the presence of these spectacular reptiles.

A closer look at the trio:

These tall plants had a whole host of daddy long leg "spiders" (although Daddy Long Legs are actually not spiders they are arachnids):

We made our way back to the water. Guess who were here to welcome us:

These two barely escaped the alligators who leaped up out of the water trying to snatch them out of the air:

They were impressed by the size of this feather. Rachel noted that the term "Light as a feather" is inaccurate with this one!

Rachel and I took one more side path to the water before we left:

Lizzy waited (hid) by the trail-head:

How was it girls? Two yea votes and a nay (although she did enjoy some of it, minus the big bad alligators). With my yes vote, the yea's have it:
