Week Seven Day Two Trail Adventure: Project Habitat / San Felasco.
Today it was just Luna and mom (the girls had school projects and an abundance of school work).

Project Habitat is a a paved path near San Felasco. I have run on this path but never walked it, pausing to notice the habitat. It's funny how you can drive, bike, or run somewhere and never really see the abundance of nature all around us, right here for us to enjoy.

Week Seven Day Three Trail Adventure: Newnan's Lake Loop at the Newnan's Lake Conservation Area.
All smiles and happy to be out in nature:

Our first time at this Trailhead:

Blackberries are everywhere. Although most of them are not ripe yet:

There are lots of flowers and moth and butterfly attracting plants on this trail:

I decided to review some safety plans.
Q: What do you do if there is a bear on the path?
Their answer: It depends on what type of bear. If 🐻 then make yourself big and scary. They then demonstrated. Luna thought this was funny:

Q: What do you do if there is a Rattle Snake on the path.
A: Lizzy said back away:

Rachel said: take pictures! Luna is not letting it out of her sight.

Of course Luna goes right through the mud:

Math is much more fun out in nature:

Q: What do you do if you see a bobcat or a panther?
Lizzy demonstrating..

Rachel decides to say "Here kitty, kitty" and try to pet it!:

The girls started singing the pink panther theme music. This is Rachel's end expression to the theme music:

And Lizzy's performance pose for the end of the Pink Panther theme music:

Final end of trail pic. There was not a whole lot to see on this trail (after some of the other exciting trails with alligators and snakes it didn't compete).

We still had a good time out in nature.
